Recently I decided to participate in the Los Angeles Marathon. I have no prior experience in marathon running, in fact, I wouldn't consider myself a true runner at all. However, I have always wanted to join the ranks of those psuedo-masochistic athletes who have left all common sense behind and completed the 26.2 mile "death march."

Perhaps, I am glutton for pain, but I prefer to believe that I have a passion for challenges. In any case, during my pursuit of satisfying one of my life long dreams I realized I could support a worthy organization, the Boys and Girls Club of Barstow.
